I. Main profiles

This agricultural shed design is mainly constructed with H-beam and C-channel steel.

H-beam: Made of Q355B with hot-dip galvanized 85μm. Q355 has excellent load-bearing capacity, deformation resistance and seismic resistance, suitable for areas with frequent typhoons and earthquakes. The 85μm coating effectively isolates acidic substances in the air, protecting the profile for 20 to 25 years without additional inspection and renovation.


C-beam: Made of S350GD+ZAM350. The strength of S350 is 50% higher than that of common Q235, and its corrosion resistance is 3 to 6 times that of Q235. In addition, the magnesium element in S350 makes the oxide layer on the profile surface flowable, which can achieve self-repair and inhibit the formation and spread of rust spots.

II. Application

Large sheds with solar panels are built on farm roofs. PV farmhouses allow farmers to use these new buildings free of charge for storing equipment, vehicles and hay. Shade-tolerant crops can be planted to generate additional income. The electricity generated can also be stored for vehicle charging, house lighting, agricultural machinery operation, etc. Surplus electricity can be fed into the grid and sold to the state for certain subsidies. If built on campus, badminton courts, basketball courts and other facilities can also be constructed underneath.

III. Summary

If the construction site is in an area with heavy wind, snow and frequent earthquakes, it is recommended to use H-beams as the main profile for design and construction.
